Humanitarian
Action
Over the past few years, Rasikashraya has been consistently working to support communities affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises across Maharashtra. Severe floods in districts such as Sangli, Kolhapur, Yavatmal, and Wardha caused major damage to homes, agriculture, and livelihoods, with women, children, and elderly people being the most affected. In response, the organization provided healthcare support, ration kits, hygiene materials, clothes, and educational supplies through local volunteers, benefiting more than 1,400 vulnerable individuals and 260 children. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, the organization also supported labourers, migrant workers, students, and other vulnerable groups through helplines, help desks, ration distribution, and nutritious food support, reaching 29,014 people in need. These humanitarian efforts reflect the organization’s strong social commitment during times of crisis.
