Skill & Livelihood

Rasikashraya has been working for the last 25 years towards strengthening the livelihoods and empowerment of women’s self-help groups, farmers, and persons with disabilities. The organization has consistently implemented various initiatives to promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihood opportunities among marginalized communities in rural and tribal areas.

In 2014, the organization conducted its first Skill Development Training Program for persons with disabilities. Through this initiative, many differently-abled youth gained employment opportunities, while several others established self-employment ventures to support their livelihoods. This successful experience strengthened the organization’s confidence and reinforced the understanding that skill development is a powerful tool for social and economic transformation.

Considering the changing socio-economic scenario and the growing demand for skilled manpower, the organization has now identified skill development as a key focus area of its work. The primary objective is to equip persons with disabilities, women, and rural youth with employable skills, enabling them to become self-reliant, financially independent, and socially empowered.

To achieve this, the organization is committed to implementing comprehensive livelihood promotion initiatives through skill development training, entrepreneurship promotion, self-employment guidance, job placement support, and market linkage facilitation.
